Conditions
- A provisional booking will reserve a car for a maximum of 5 days.
- All bookings will be confirmed in writing including price, times and details on receipt of the £50 deposit or reservation fee, the booking form and the
terms and conditions form. We regret the £50 deposit or reservation fee is non returnable in the event of a cancellation.
- Sheringtons will check and confirm the timing of the wedding run from the pickup address to the church or register office approx 28 days before the wedding.
- The balance of the payment is required 28 days before the wedding.
- If a booking is cancelled after the balance due date or 28 days before the wedding, 50% of the total bill will be made payable to Sheringtons, the balance will be returned to the client.
- The chauffeur has been instructed by the cars owner Simon Wells to travel at a maximum speed of 35mph, and use his or her judgment to drive at a reasonable speed in relation to the prevailing road speed and traffic conditions, and above all else to
respect the age of the car.
- No other person will drive the car under any circumstances.
- No other person will be allowed to sit on the cars bodywork. Smoking is forbidden in the car.
- Sheringtons pride themselves on the condition of the car. The car is owned by Simon Wells, and maintained, serviced, cleaned, and driven enthusiastically by him, the car has a current M.O.T and is covered by comprehensive insurance for wedding hire. Regular preventative maintenance and servicing is carried out the car. The modern motor cars reliability we take for granted, and thanks to our preventative maintenance and servicing programme, we have an excellent reliability record, but old cars, and even new ones, may break down. Sheringtons or Simon Wells cannot be held responsible for acts of God, delays caused by the client, or mechanical breakdowns. Sheringtons wedding cars reserve the right to replace the car with a similar one from our fleet if available and practical. All cars carry large umbrellas, mobile phones and spare water for the engine.
